Indeed, the \u201cBionic Body\u201d proved himself to be a contender once again last year, not just on the wheelchair circuit but also among his able-bodied peers. He took to the stage in the Men\u2019s Physique division, earning fourth place at the 2023 Toronto Pro Supershow. Now he shares his epic machine workout plan with Muscle &amp; Fitness as he preps for competition in the year ahead.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis is my actual training schedule,\u201d explains John-Augustin, who finds a way to train every day, often repping his latest on-trend <a href=\"https:\/\/www.boohooman.com\/us\/mens\/activewear\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">activewear collaboration with BohooMAN<\/a> as he moves heaven and earth in the weight room. \u201cAnd my split is push, pull, and legs,\u201d he notes. As you will see from John-Augustin\u2019s extensive machine workout plan, he builds muscle by getting into a state of hypotrophy, taxing his muscle fibers and encourange them to grow back stronger by following a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.muscleandfitness.com\/workouts\/workout-routines\/high-and-low-rep-workout-protocol-shock-your-muscles-bigger\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">high rep scheme<\/a> and executing an extensive array of exercises. As if the below schedule wasn\u2019t epic enough, John-Augustin also tells M&amp;F that before he hits the gym and follows this plan, he undertakes morning cardio and trains his abs. On Sundays, on his day of \u201crest\u201d he still performs cardio and ab training. Whether he\u2019s sweating it out during long workout sessions or tweaking the angles to make sure he\u2019s hitting each muscle part that he possibly can, the \u201cBionic Body\u201d is a testament to what the human body can accomplish through determination and a driven work ethic. \u201cI receive thousands of messages from people who are inspired,\u201d says our man. \u201cAnd those messages also help me through my journey!
